Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Planning:
    Develop and implement comprehensive, long-term marketing plans that align with the zoo’s core mission, brand identity, and growth objectives.
    Identify target audiences—including local families, schools, tourists, and scientific communities—and tailor messaging and campaigns to effectively reach and engage each segment.
  • Brand Management & Positioning:
    Strengthen and refine the Zoologico Santa Fe brand story across print, digital, and on-site platforms.
    Ensure brand consistency, visual identity coherence, and messaging clarity throughout all marketing and communications materials.
  • Integrated Campaign Development:
    Lead the conceptualization, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns spanning social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, SEO-optimized web content, paid advertising, traditional media, and experiential activations.
    Collaborate with creative teams, photographers, and videographers to produce compelling, educational content that brings our wildlife conservation stories to life.
  • Partnerships & Community Engagement:
    Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with local tourism boards, environmental organizations, travel agencies, cultural institutions, and corporate sponsors.
    Organize and support community outreach events, workshops, school programs, and seasonal promotions that encourage community investment in our mission.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Measurement:
    Utilize analytics tools to measure the performance of marketing initiatives against KPIs such as visitor attendance, digital engagement, brand sentiment, and revenue growth.
    Prepare regular reports, track campaign ROI, and provide actionable insights to guide continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals, fostering a creative, results-driven environment.
    Work closely with the Animal Care, Education, Guest Services, and Conservation departments to ensure aligned messaging and integrated marketing opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
    A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within cultural, tourism, entertainment, or non-profit sectors.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful marketing initiatives.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and value propositions.
    Proficiency in marketing analytics, content management systems, and social media management tools.
    Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, mission-driven environment.
